OBJECTIVES OF IGNOU

IGNOU was founded in 1985 with the following aims under the Bill of Parliament.

  • To reach higher education to the students.
  • To make education possible (of the high order) for the students without any bondage of age, area or formal educational eligibility.
  • To start educational programmes based on business oriented courses, according to need.
  • To encourage and develop distance education in India.
ESTABLISHMENT :

             Chhindwara study centre (1515) comes under the Jabalpur Regional centre. There are 15 established centres under Jabalpur regional centre. This study center was founded at 1993-94 under the special approach of respected "Shri Kamalnath " (MP from Chhindwara).
